Description Haematopus ostralegus
English: Eurasian Oystercatcher (also known as the Common Pied Oystercatcher) on the roof of Royal Golf Hotel, Dornoch, Scotland. The parent returned to the roof with a beak full of worms and dropped them on the roof several feet away from the young chick and then watched over it while it foraged around and ate them.
