Description |
Retsilisitsoe Nthunya, child of Lesotho. Original Flickr description: Retsilisitsoe is M'e Mpho Nthunya's youngest grandchild, born to M'e Mpho's daughter-in-law five years after the death of M'e Mpho's son. In Lesotho, less is made of the question of "legitimacy" than in Western cultures. The daughter-in-law lives with her husband's mother, and any children she has become her husband's descendents. In 1992, Retsilisitsoe already had the bearing of a chief in his little rag of a blanket. |
