King's Regiment group, Korea 1952.jpg THE KOREAN WAR 1950 - 1953. Company Sergeant Major Harry McDortch (without headgear), "A" Company, 1st Battalion, The King's Liverpool Regiment, pays a routine visit to one of the forward platoons of his company serving at the front in Korea. The men in this photograph are digging in a new bunker, a job which helped to keep them warm in the cold Korean winter.
