English: The artwork was performed as an illustration to Alexandre Benois' book Tsarskoye Selo during the Reign of Empress Elizabeth Petrovna. The A. Benois' work was published in 1910 by R. Golike & A. Vilborg Partnership in Saint Petersburg, but without the illustration Elizabeth Petrovna in Tsarskoe Selo.
There is the version of the artwork performed in 1905 in the collection of Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum.
Русский: Работа была создана как иллюстрация к книге А.Н. Бенуа «Царское Село в царствование императрицы Елизаветы Петровны». Книга А.Н. Бенуа была издана в 1910 году в Санкт-Петербурге Товариществом Р. Голике и А. Вильборг, но иллюстрация «Елизавета Петровна в Царском Селе» не вошла в издание.
Существует исполненный в 1905 г. вариант работы, находящийся в Нижегородском художественном музее
