In case of acetate aldol reaction with crimmins auxilairy 1 eq of TiCl4 + 1 eq Of base give acetate syn product and 1eq of TiCl4 + 2 eq Of base give acetate anti product (Mathis B. Hodge and Horacio F. Olivo; Tetrahedron 60 (2004) 9397–9403) but in case of propiolate aldol reaction using thiozolidenthione or oxazolidenethion 1 eq of TiCl4 + 1 eq Of base give non-evans syn product and 1eq of TiCl4 + 2 eq Of base give evans syn product.
