Aids Orphans in Burkina Faso
Burkina Faso in west Africa is one of the poorest countries in the world. More than half of the population is under 18 years old. The incidence of HIV/AIDS is over 4% of the adult population. UNICEF estimates that there are more than 260,000 AIDS orphans which is more than 305 of all orphans.
SOS Children is developing programmes based in Dafra and Ouagadougou to help stengthen families affected by HIV/AIDS.
