SOS Children's Village Hampolol near Campeche
SOS Children's Village Hampolol was set up in 1979, in the little village of Hampolol. SOS Children's Village Hampolol is five minutes from the centre of Hampolol by foot, and 15 minutes from the coast. Campeche is one of the poorest and climatically most disadvantaged provinces of the country. Due to the difficult social situation, there are a lot of children who cannot grow up within their biological family. They can find a new home at the SOS Children's Village.
SOS Children's Village Hampolol consists of family houses for orphaned and abandoned children, the house of the village director, the aunts' or family helpers' house, a multi-purpose hall, an auditorium and an administration and service area.
The SOS children attend nursery schools and schools in the local community, which helps their integration into the society.
