How your company and colleagues can give children a brighter future

Every day, across the world, children are abandoned and parents and carers die. Children at risk deserve love, respect, security, and the chance to learn.

SOS Children is a charity recognised internationally for expertise in the care of children. We help vulnerable children and fragmenting families in more than 120 countries. If you share our desire to see a brighter future where children can live fulfilled and sustainable lives, then working with this charity could be the perfect way to demonstrate your commitment.

Bring about lasting change for children and their families. Contact our Corporate Liaison Coordinator: corporates@soschildren.org

How Swissair gave Harry wings

As a boy, Harry Magallanes sold cigarettes on the streets of Manila. 'I was 10 years old when a government agency referred us to SOS Children's Village Manila in October 1989. Before that the street where me and my sister sold cigarettes to make ends meet was 'home' to us. At the SOS Children's Village I had a bed of my own, so did my sister and most importantly a mother who took care of us and loved us. Swissair sponsored our house and one day we had a visitor. She was a former flight attendant and her husband was a pilot. She asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. She was delighted when I replied 'a pilot'!'

Harry went on to study a BSc in Aircraft maintenance. Swissair then sponsored Harry's commercial pilot training. Today, Harry is happily married with a family of his own and thanks to Swissair's support, he fulfilled his childhood dream to become an airline pilot.
