Join Team SOS Children for a new 24-hour cycling challenge at the world’s most prestigious race course

On the weekend of 14th-15th September, the Silverstone 24 challenge offers you the unique opportunity to raise money for SOS Children by cycling Silverstone’s world-famous grand prix circuit for 24 hours.

What do I need to know?

The Silverstone 24 is like no other event in the British cycling calendar. It challenges teams of up to four members to cycle in relay around Silverstone’s grand prix race circuit for 24 hours. If you are passionate about cycling, an enthusiastic amateur, or just an SOS Children supporter with plenty of stamina, this event really is an unmissable chance to raise money for your favourite charity!

With full support from massage to physiotherapy provided throughout the event, participants of all abilities can compete in the Silverstone 24, and the course is fully accessible to disabled participants as well. The race will be complemented by ongoing timings and results, and competitors will gain exclusive access to Silverstone’s new state-of-the-art competitor suite, The Wing. With toilets, showers and catering facilities as well as social zones and free wifi available to participants, you will spend the event in luxury and style.

Your entry fee also entitles you to a range of perks. These include:

• Secure bike storage.

SOS Children needs you!

If we can secure 50 entries, the Silverstone 24 has promised to donate a minimum of £1500 to SOS Children! The more riders we enter, the bigger the donation, so we really do you need your help to ensure maximum benefit to the children and families we support around the globe.

How do I enter?

• The standard price for the Silverstone 24 is £600 per team or £150 per person. However, SOS Children is subsidising entry so you pay only £240 per team or £60 per person.
• In return, SOS Children asks each participant to raise a minimum of £360 - a team total of at least £1140. 24 hours contain 1440 minutes, so this is equivalent to being sponsored £1 a minute!
• If every team member can find 12 people to sponsor them for half an hour, at £1 a minute each, the collective sponsorship target of £1440 will have been achieved.
