SOS Children's Village Novi Sad
The SOS Children's Village Novi Sad is located in a park on the slopes of the Fruska Gora Mountain on the left bank of the river Danube which separates the SOS Children's Village from the city of Novi Sad. The SOS Children's Village consists of thirteen family houses which are grouped in a circle, an amphitheatre, a fountain in the centre of the SOS Children's Village, a sports' ground and an administrative building. Every family house has its own little garden which is cultivated by the SOS families.
The SOS Children's Village has a capacity for a total number of 156 children and youngsters between the ages of 3 and 18 years, but normally youths can stay until they have completed their higher educational or vocational training.
Other SOS Projects in Novi Sad
These youths are accommodated in an SOS Youth Home with a capacity for up to 60 boys, which is located in the city of Novi Sad and is part of the SOS Children's Village's facilities. Young girls are lodged in two apartments in the city or in two small houses situated between the SOS Children's Village and Novi Sad. In these SOS Youth Homes, boys and girls are prepared step by step to lead an independent life outside the SOS Children's Village.
